The topic "Relations" (that they dont show a screenshot of) is basically a collection of phrases that one might use to pick someone up in a bar (asking for phone number, asking if someone is married, asking if they want to go someplace together, asking for a hug, etc.) The amusing part about it is that the sample audio voice is a womans, and the phrases "Are you married?" are appropriate for a woman to ask a man, but not the other way around (in Russian the phrase means literally "Are you wifed?" -- if you were asking a woman if she were married, youd say something that sounds like "Are you behind-husband?" -- so essentially its a completely different word.) And while there might be foreign business women in Moscow looking to hit on the local guys, general wisdom would assume that its generally the other way around. But I love the idea of some guy coming up to a young Russian woman and asking if shes "wifed." Beautiful! The rest of the topics are just basically a small smattering of what a Berlitz travel phrases book might give you. The audio is clear, but there is no use of the Cyrillic alphabet -- just a pronunciation approximation at the top. This is NOT an app that I would recommend for students of Russian. But if you watch out for any phrases that could be specific to a particular gender (when hitting on people in bars), it should function fine as a travel support! ;-)
